Germany Descent to Catastrophe
This course provides an historical understanding of Nazism, the Third Reich, and its principal legacy of war and genocide. Combining a chronological and thematic approach, the lectures will focus on political, cultural, and ideological developments that went into the making of the Nazi state
and characterized its existence between 1933 and 1945. Particular attention will be paid to specific themes in the genesis, consolidation, destruction, and criminality of Hitler’s Germany.
